Digital Turbine's shares have tripled in a year as its AI-powered advertising platform draws new publishers and advertisers, lifting fiscal 2027 guidance.

Digital Turbine's AI-driven advertising platform pushed its shares up 208% over the past year, as the mobile adtech company raised fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to $650-$670 million on expanding publisher demand.
Management said the expanding publisher base is reinforcing the company's demand-and-supply flywheel, with nearly 3 billion devices and more than 80,000 apps now using its advertising technology.
App Growth Platform revenue rose 55.9% year over year to $56.6 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, with advertising exchange revenue up $14.3 million on new publishers and demand partners in Asia Pacific and China. DTX exchange revenue climbed 54%, and about 80 percent of advertiser spend came from non-gaming partners. Brand and DTX rates each rose more than 40 percent, supported by AI-powered first-party data and machine learning that are improving advertiser returns.
Digital Turbine trades at 12.60 times forward earnings, below the industry average of 28.53 and peers AppLovin at 16.89, Unity Software at 35.90 and Magnite at 21.32. Consensus estimates for fiscal 2027 earnings rose 2 cents to 86 cents a share over the past 30 days, according to Zacks data.
Digital Turbine's AI strategy centers on collaborations with Google Cloud and Databricks, integrating machine learning into its core intelligence systems to improve targeting, recommendations and real-time optimization. Management said these capabilities are helping deliver better results for advertisers while attracting new partners seeking improved returns on advertising spend. The company's first-party data and AI models are also supporting higher pricing and fill rates for premium placements, with management noting that brands are shifting spending toward apps as AI contributes to declining open-web traffic.
The publisher network is expanding globally, with strong contributions from Asia Pacific, while non-gaming and AI-focused publishers are seeking monetization opportunities. This broadens inventory across app categories and strengthens the platform's ability to serve advertisers. The company continues to broaden its software development kit footprint to attract new supply.
International expansion is supporting On Device Solutions, with application media revenue rising about $13.7 million on higher new-device volumes and revenue per device abroad. The Orange partnership gives Digital Turbine access to a telecom footprint serving about 340 million customers across 26 countries, adding a major channel for its app install and discovery services. The Launchpad platform, launched in June, unifies app distribution across carriers, OEMs and direct install experiences, and is already used by developers including Zynga, Playtika and King.
Digital Turbine's 208% rally over the past year contrasts with AppLovin's 24.4% decline, while Unity Software rose 22.1% and Magnite gained 10.7%. The company's on-device distribution model and AI-driven approach have drawn investor attention as brands shift spending toward apps because of declining open-web traffic. AppLovin is investing in more sophisticated AI models and compute infrastructure to improve advertiser performance, while Zeta Global is building an intelligent AI infrastructure platform through its Athena data cloud.
Management raised fiscal 2027 adjusted EBITDA guidance to $145-$155 million from $135-$145 million, pointing to confidence in margin expansion. The company reported first-quarter revenue of $166 million, up 27% year over year, with a net loss of $3.2 million narrowing from $14.1 million a year earlier.
Digital Turbine's rally reflects growing confidence in its AI-driven growth story, but the company still carries about $352.9 million in debt against $43.2 million in cash. With the stock trading at a discount to peers, the market appears to be pricing in continued App Growth Platform expansion, though sustained profitability remains the key test for the valuation.
