Intuit reported Q4 revenue of $4.354 billion, up 14% and above consensus, though shares slid on a slower 2027 outlook.
"Our Big Bets grew 34% and represented 30% of full-year revenue," CEO Sasan Goodarzi said, citing plans to scale those initiatives and position Intuit as an AI-driven expert platform. CFO Sandeep Aujla emphasized disciplined investment while pursuing durable revenue growth, operating-margin expansion, and higher capital returns.
Non-GAAP diluted EPS came in at $4.03, up 47% from $2.75 and above the $3.59 consensus, while GAAP EPS slipped 1% to $1.34. A $293 million restructuring charge and a $192 million adverse year-over-year swing in income taxes — a $177 million provision versus a $15 million benefit a year earlier — kept the 40% jump in GAAP operating income to $475 million from reaching the bottom line. QuickBooks Online Accounting revenue rose 20% on higher effective prices and customer growth, Credit Karma climbed 16% to $743 million, and TurboTax edged up 3% to $153 million as units fell 2%.
Shares fell about 3% in after-hours trading after closing down 3.06% at $358.59, leaving the stock roughly 44% below its $705 high even after a 46% rebound off the July low of $253. For fiscal 2027, Intuit guided revenue growth of 9% to 10% to $23.279-$23.512 billion and non-GAAP EPS of $22.88-$23.12, up 23% to 24%. Mailchimp, which becomes a separate reportable segment, is expected to range from a 1% decline to flat revenue.
The guidance points to earnings growing faster than revenue, though the revised non-GAAP method now includes share-based compensation — a $2.020 billion expense in fiscal 2027 — making comparisons with prior-year adjusted figures less direct. The board raised the quarterly dividend 15% to $1.38 a share, payable Oct. 16, and repurchased $5.5 billion of stock in fiscal 2026, up 96%. Investors will watch the Sept. 17 Investor Day for updated segment margins and the pace of the AI-driven "Big Bets" expansion.
