Genel Energy Plc is a holding company, which engages in the provision of oil and gas exploration services. The firm operates through two segments: Production and Pre-production. The Production segment comprises the producing fields on the Tawke PSC (Tawke and Peshkabir), which are located in the KRI and make sales predominantly to the KRG. The Pre-production segment is comprised of exploration activities, principally located in Somaliland and Oman. The firm holds a 25% working interest in Tawke PSC, located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The firm holds approximately 51% and 50% working interests in SL10B13 and Odewayne blocks, all located in Somaliland. The company holds a 40% working interest in Block 54 (the Karawan Concession), located on the eastern side of the South Oman Salt Basin and immediately adjacent to existing production activities.
