The Solana Foundation has launched its 12th international hackathon, dubbed "Cypherpunk," running from September 25 to October 30, 2025. This initiative aims to cultivate new developers within the Solana ecosystem, offering a robust platform for innovation across key decentralized finance sectors. The competition features a substantial prize pool totaling over $510,000 in USDC-SPL, alongside $250,000 in pre-seed investment opportunities and qualification for 1:1 incubation from the Colosseum accelerator.

The Event in Detail

Organized in collaboration with Colosseum, the "Cypherpunk" hackathon focuses on six critical areas of blockchain development: Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Real World Assets (RWA), consumer applications, stablecoins, infrastructure, and a free track for open-ended innovation. The prize structure includes a Grand Champion award of $30,000 in USDC-SPL, presented by Phantom. Additionally, each of the four main tracks—Consumer Apps (by Raydium), DeFi (by Arcium), Stablecoins (by Reflect), and RWAs (by Forward Industries)—will distribute five prizes ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 in USDC-SPL.
