First Mining Gold Corp. (TSX: FF) (OTCQX: FFMGF) (FRANKFURT: FMG) reported new high-grade gold intercepts from its Duparquet Project in Quebec, with one drill hole returning 15.14 g/t gold over 5.0 meters. The final results from the 2025 exploration program confirm significant mineralization across three key targets, including the newly discovered Minuit Zone.
"The results from our 2025 drilling program at the Duparquet Project continue to refine and strengthen our understanding of the mineralized system across the North Zone, South Zone and newly identified Minuit Zone targets," Dan Wilton, CEO of First Mining, said. "These results continue to demonstrate strong resource growth potential and exploration opportunities along the syenite-mafic volcanic contact which remain open along strike and at depth."
The drilling campaign, the company's largest to date at the project, included 44 holes totaling 16,576.5 meters. Highlights include drill hole DUP25-056 in the North Zone, which intersected 15.14 g/t Au over 5.0 m, including a higher-grade section of 73.40 g/t Au over 1.0 m. In the new Minuit Zone, hole DUP25-070 returned 9.87 g/t Au over 2.75 m, while the South Zone yielded 6.18 g/t Au over 2.95 m from hole DUP25-061.
These results support the potential for resource expansion at one of Canada's largest undeveloped gold projects. The Duparquet Project holds a current NI 43-101 compliant resource of 3.44 million ounces of gold in the Measured & Indicated category, which compares favorably with other major development-stage projects in the Abitibi region.
North Zone Confirms High-Grade Corridors
Drilling in the North Zone successfully demonstrated continuity of mineralization along the interpreted plunge. Key intercepts confirmed the presence of higher-grade corridors within a broader mineralized envelope.
- DUP25-056: 1.88 g/t Au over 16.90 m, including 5.85 g/t Au over 2.7 m.
- DUP25-063: 2.97 g/t Au over 11.5 m, including 7.04 g/t Au over 1.7 m.
- DUP25-065: 3.09 g/t Au over 6.5 m.
Minuit and South Zones Add Resource Upside
The South Zone drilling extended mineralization approximately 80 meters below the historical Donchester mine workings, with hole DUP25-061 returning 6.18 g/t Au over 2.95 m and 5.38 g/t Au over 2.0 m.
The blind discovery of the Minuit Zone was a key success of the 2025 program. Follow-up drilling established a potential 315-meter continuity, with intercepts like 9.87 g/t Au over 2.75 m in DUP25-070 and 5.53 g/t Au over 5.3 m in DUP25-076. The company believes this zone could contribute to near-term resource growth.
