PancakeSwap's $GMEB listing on BNB Chain marks the latest step in a race among decentralized exchanges to capture tokenized equity volume.

PancakeSwap added trading support for $GMEB, a tokenized version of GameStop shares, on BNB Chain on Aug. 12, pushing its cumulative tokenized asset volume past $50 million.
Token Terminal data shows BNB Chain now hosts roughly $946.9 million in tokenized equities and ETFs, the largest share across any network, followed by Ethereum at about $787.4 million and Solana at approximately $618.7 million.
$GMEB is a BEP-20 token issued under Binance's bStocks program, backed 1:1 by actual GameStop shares held by a regulated custodian. The contract address is 0x46ceefda28dd7207059ed19b0acdc026955bb15c. Binance listed the GMEB/USDT spot pair with margin trading support the same day at 20:00 UTC+8, creating parallel centralized and decentralized venues for the same asset.
The listing gives DeFi traders 24/7 access to GameStop exposure without relying on traditional market hours or centralized order books, while the regulatory picture for tokenized equities remains unresolved across jurisdictions.
Binance's bStocks program takes traditional equities, parks the underlying shares with a regulated custodian, and issues blockchain tokens that mirror their value on a one-to-one basis. Each $GMEB token represents economic exposure to one share of GameStop. Token holders can verify collateral holdings daily, redeem positions fee-free on Binance, or transfer tokens to self-custodial wallets for use in DeFi lending and liquidity provision. Traditional stock markets close on evenings, weekends, and holidays; tokenized equities trade around the clock, eliminating the two-day settlement delays typical of conventional brokerage accounts.
PancakeSwap has been building its tokenized equities category since October 2025, when it integrated with Ondo Finance to add more than 100 tokenized stocks, bonds, and ETFs on BNB Chain. The exchange also recently added 10 additional bStocks covering ASML Holding, Netflix, Super Micro Computer, and other U.S.-listed names. As of mid-2026, the DEX had surpassed $50 million in cumulative trading volume for tokenized assets, according to the platform.
The two-track system — centralized exchange order books on Binance and self-custodied DeFi venues on PancakeSwap — gives traders a choice of environment. Centralized exchange users get familiar interfaces and margin trading; DeFi users get self-custody and composability with other on-chain protocols. Tokenized equities enable fractional ownership and 24/7 trading, but they do not confer voting rights or direct shareholder status. The regulatory picture remains unresolved, with different jurisdictions taking different positions on whether these instruments constitute securities themselves. Tokenized real-world assets also carry structural risks, including smart contract vulnerabilities and potential tracking errors relative to primary markets.
