QScreen AI Inc. (OTC: PMEDF) appointed former Pentagon Joint Artificial Intelligence Center Director Lt. Gen. Michael S. Groen to its Advisory Board, the company announced Tuesday.
"What I see in the QScreen AI platform is an innovative use of technology in an environment that has broad applicability," Lt. Gen. Groen said. "This technology is truly transformational and can potentially redefine 'safety' in a broad range of use-cases."
The appointment follows a live demonstration of QScreen’s physiological AI screening platform, which analyzes 34 physiological signals and 13 clinical instruments using standard cameras and voice. The company is targeting institutional markets including 4,800 US correctional facilities, 4,800 US military sites, and the 50,000-officer Transportation Security Administration.
Groen's appointment is aimed at accelerating commercialization in the defense, correctional health, and federal security sectors. The move adds a second high-profile advisor focused on a specific vertical, following the appointment of José Humberto Vargas García for North American rail and logistics markets.
Groen served 36 years in the US Marine Corps and led the Department of Defense's effort to develop and scale artificial intelligence across all branches of the military as Director of the JAIC. QScreen stated his experience will be critical in navigating government operations and institutional sales cycles.
The company's platform is designed to identify impairment patterns from substances like alcohol, opioids, and cannabis, as well as detect certain withdrawal states.
"He has evaluated AI platforms at the highest institutional levels, and his decision to join QScreen following a live demonstration of the platform is a significant milestone for the Company," said Dr. Rahul Kushwah, COO of QScreen AI.
The appointment provides QScreen with significant institutional credibility as it pursues a pipeline of 300 to 500 identified deployment opportunities in correctional facilities. Investors will now watch for initial pilot programs or contracts from the defense and security sectors as the next major catalyst.
