Strive acquired 1,110 bitcoin for $81.5 million between Aug. 17 and Aug. 21, lifting its treasury to 21,356 BTC, according to an SEC filing.
"The upside is not simply bitcoin going higher. It is bitcoin becoming the fastest horse inside an expanding scarcity trade while $ASST is structured to amplify that outcome as much as we can responsibly support," Matt Cole, chief executive officer at Strive, said in a post on X.
The company paid an average of $73,409 per coin including fees, about 8 percent below Monday's price near $79,000. Holdings rose 5.5 percent from 20,246 BTC in mid-August, ranking Strive seventh among public companies, behind Bullish and ahead of SpaceX, per BitcoinTreasuries.NET. Cash and equivalents climbed to $171.9 million from $154.8 million, while the fair value of its 505,000 Strategy STRC preferred shares rose to $48.6 million.
ASST shares gained more than 11 percent in Monday trading, extending year-to-date gains of roughly 36 percent. Cole said Sunday he has "very strong" conviction the bitcoin bear market is over, citing breakouts against both the dollar and gold, with bitcoin bottoming against gold in February and against the dollar in July.
Strive's SATA preferred stock closed at $100.01 on Friday, returning to management's targeted $99-to-$101 range after falling as low as $83.30 in late June. The variable-rate perpetual preferred, launched in November 2025 at $80 per share, carries a 13 percent annualized dividend paid daily since June 16. SATA trades similarly to Strategy's STRC preferred, which was near $97 on Monday, below its $100 target.
Strategy, the largest corporate bitcoin holder with 840,447 BTC, reported no purchases for the week ended Aug. 23. It sold 18.26 million MSTR shares for about $2 billion between Aug. 17 and Aug. 23, using $300 million to lift its USD Reserve to $5.1 billion and allocating $1.59 billion to a new "USD Cash" pool earmarked for future purchases and dividends.
Bitcoin rose nearly 25 percent last week, closing Friday at $77,387, and was trading near $80,000 on Monday. Strive manages nearly $3 billion across exchange-traded funds and a direct-indexing platform alongside its bitcoin treasury.
