Spot XRP ETFs have drawn $1.8 billion in net inflows since their November launch, Bloomberg Intelligence data shows, with Goldman Sachs the largest institutional holder.
The flows have been "surprisingly resilient," James Seyffart, ETF analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence, said, noting that nearly all investment has stayed positive even as XRP's price lost momentum.
Goldman Sachs reported $87.4 million in XRP ETF exposure in second-quarter 13F filings, up $83.1 million from the prior quarter. Jane Street Group holds $16.6 million, Millennium Management $16.2 million, Intesa Sanpaolo $14.4 million and Marex UK Holdings $8.1 million. Investment advisers were the largest category of holders, outpacing hedge funds and brokerages.
The inflow streak has persisted through price weakness. XRP traded near $1.37 on Monday, down 2.7 percent for the day and 7.6 percent over the past week, yet spot ETFs added more than $150 million over nine consecutive trading days, with $725 million in the past nine sessions alone. Exchange reserves have continued to decline, typically a sign that coins are being moved off exchanges into longer-term holding rather than sold. The divergence contrasts with spot Bitcoin funds, which ended their own nine-day inflow streak, while Ethereum funds continued steady additions.
Ripple is building the institutional infrastructure to match this demand. The company partnered with SettleMint to connect Ripple Custody with SettleMint's Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform, giving banks and fintechs across Asia Pacific a single system to issue, manage and operate tokenized assets from start to finish, according to a joint press release.
The partnership extends Ripple's custody footprint into a region where banks are increasingly adopting digital asset services. Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin also crossed $2 billion in market cap this month, with more than $1 billion issued directly on the XRP Ledger, according to the stablecoin's July attestation. The token, launched less than two years ago, has become a growing source of on-chain activity for the XRP Ledger.
The disconnect between ETF inflows and spot price is a key focus for traders heading into September, as investors monitor potential changes in U.S. Federal Reserve policy. XRP remains up about 38 percent over the past 14 days after a sharp rally, but has struggled to hold key support levels following a recent leverage unwind. Holding above $1.36 keeps the door open for a retest of $1.43, where XRP was previously rejected, while losing that floor would put the recent sweep low back in play.
Evernorth, an XRP treasury management company, recently gained SEC clearance and is expected to seek a Nasdaq listing, adding another institutional entry point for XRP exposure. The first XRP ETFs launched in the United States in November 2025, following the introduction of Bitcoin funds one year earlier. The sustained inflow pattern suggests institutional allocators are treating XRP exposure as a distinct portfolio sleeve rather than a satellite trade.
