The Company, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the cultivation of oil palm, processing of palm oil and investment holdings. The Company’s segments include Plantation and Resource-based manufacturing. The Plantation segment is engaged in the cultivation of oil palm and processing of palm oil with operations in seed breeding, cultivation, and crop oil extraction. The company has approximately 98 estates,15 palm oil mills, four research and development (R&D) centers, and one biotechnology center in Malaysia and Indonesia. The resource-based manufacturing segment is engaged in manufacturing oleochemical, specialty oils and fats, palm oil refinery, palm kernel crushing, and processing of oil palm trunks. The company consists of downstream activities, such as refining crude palm oil and palm kernel oil, and processing refined palm oil and palm kernel oil into oleochemical, and specialty food ingredients as well as converting oil palm trunks.
