Arbitrum's ARB rose 45% in 24 hours to $0.1928, breaking through key resistance as buyers reclaimed control after weeks of weakness. The token, which traded below $0.10 in late August, has now pushed toward the $0.20 mark that analysts flag as the first major test of the recovery.
Derivatives data confirms the move is backed by fresh capital rather than short covering alone. Coinglass figures show ARB futures volume jumped 606% to $2.38 billion over the same window, while open interest climbed 55.5% to $299.5 million — a sign traders are adding exposure, not just unwinding positions. Funding rates held near neutral at 0.006%, suggesting the rally is not being driven by leveraged longs that could unwind violently.
The technical picture supports the bullish read but carries a warning. ARB sits above its 20-, 50-, 100- and 200-day moving averages, with dynamic support near $0.1512, yet the relative strength index at 80 is firmly overbought. The token printed an intraday high of $0.2040 before pulling back to $0.1933, and the upper shadow points to profit-taking at the psychological $0.20 barrier. A consolidation before the next leg higher is the more likely path than an immediate breakout.
What gives the rally more than a purely technical foundation is Arbitrum's revenue story. Robinhood Chain, built on Arbitrum's Orbit technology, has opened a new income channel for the ecosystem, and the Arbitrum Foundation reported $6.19 million in first-half 2026 income. Expansion Program licensing fees accounted for 35% of ArbitrumDAO income in July, while the RWA Foundation said tokenized real-world assets on Arbitrum have crossed $1 billion — evidence that third-party chain adoption is translating into economic value for the network.
The near-term map is defined by two levels. Holding $0.16–$0.17 preserves the breakout and gives buyers room to challenge the recent high near $0.20; a decisive daily close above that would open the path toward $0.24–$0.25. Losing $0.16, by contrast, would expose a retest of $0.14–$0.15 and weaken the bullish setup. Blockchain.news assigns a 60 percent probability to a pullback toward $0.15–$0.16 within seven days as the overbought RSI resets, versus a 25 percent chance ARB clears $0.18 and chases $0.20–$0.22 on a volume-backed squeeze.
The distinction that matters for the next phase is acceptance rather than a single price spike. ARB needs sustained demand above the reclaimed range — continued growth from chains using Arbitrum technology, particularly Robinhood Chain, would reinforce the ecosystem-revenue narrative, while a sustained rise in trading activity would provide technical confirmation. If buyers keep absorbing supply around $0.17 and then clear $0.20, the sharp recovery could mature into a broader trend move rather than a one-off surge.
