The Fund can invest approximately 25% of its net assets (plus borrowings for investment purposes) in debt securities that are rated, at the time of acquisition, below investment grade (junk bonds). The Fund may also invest in derivatives, such as swaps, and reverse repurchase agreements. John Hancock Investment Management LLC is the Fund’s investment advisor.
