Embedded computing generally refers to the physical integration of computing nodes (microprocessor and memory) into a host system or application. These nodes are often deployed in arrays. Embedded computing platforms and systems are applied in a number of industries, including communications, medical imaging, seismic processing, industrial control, homeland security and defense electronics. Although the Company has sold its products into a number of these industries, TeraForce Technology's primary focus is in defense electronics and homeland security; therefore, it refers to this collectively as the Defense Electronics business.
